The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, within the framework of the services established to prevent and prosecute drug trafficking, has developed the operation 'Ship', which has allowed the dismantling of a marijuana greenhouse, in a central house in the municipality of Cieza, where 200 marijuana plants in an advanced state of growth have been seized.<\/p>\n
Three people have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of cultivating or producing drugs and defrauding electricity.<\/p>\n
Near a school<\/b><\/p>\n
The investigation began thanks to citizen collaboration, when the Civil Guard was alerted to the strong smell of marijuana emanating from a building, located near a school in the municipality of Cieza.<\/p>\n
The investigations carried out by the researchers and the surveillance of this property allowed the identification of three individuals who, apparently, were in charge of maintaining the alleged illegal plantation.<\/p>\n
The investigators also discovered that the house had been fraudulently connected to the electricity supply, and that they owed 5,000 euros to the water supplier for unpaid bills.<\/p>\n
Recently, the Civil Guard carried out a search and seizure operation at the property under investigation, where they confiscated 200 cannabis sativa plants in an advanced stage of growth, as well as the necessary equipment for their indoor cultivation.<\/p>\n
