The mayor of Cieza, Tom\u00e1s Rubio, inaugurated the "Siy\u00e2sa Conecta" event this Thursday. Organized by the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia in collaboration with the municipal departments of Employment, Economic Development, and Industry, the event brought together representatives from the city councils of Murcia, San Pedro del Pinatar, Ceheg\u00edn, and Mula, as well as self-employed individuals, business owners, startups, and entrepreneurs. Attendees included council members Gertrudis Villa, Manuel Mart\u00ednez, Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngeles Ruiz, and Cristo Manuel Lucas.<\/p>\n
At the meeting, attendees were offered the opportunity to give a two-minute presentation pitch to showcase their business projects. Similarly, the director of the Municipal Museum Service of the Cieza City Council, Joaqu\u00edn Salmer\u00f3n, did the same with the Siy\u00e2sa archaeological site, as the theme of this meeting, held for the first time in the city, focused on the opportunities for digitalization for the exploitation of the historical and natural resources of Murcia's municipalities.<\/p>\n
The mayor of Cieza welcomed attendees to the Siy\u00e2sa Museum, "the cultural lung of the city," and expressed his "great satisfaction" at the fact that the City Council and the Institute for Development are once again collaborating on initiatives of this nature in the municipality. Rubio referred to the guided tour of the site that will conclude the event, which, in his words, "is designed for entrepreneurs with the aim of teaching them how to transform historical wealth into sustainable business opportunities."<\/p>\n
For Juan Antonio Guti\u00e9rrez, head of the Network of Collaborating Entities at the Instituto de Fomento, the meeting format called "Picht-Connet" is a new pitching model in which the entrepreneur "presents their project, forges connections, receives feedback, and invites collaborations, fostering the exchange of ideas and opportunities in an interactive environment."
