These training sessions aim to raise awareness among families about managing economic and energy saving measures at home.<\/p>\n
According to a report by the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), 1.5 million households in Spain experienced problems paying their electricity or gas bills in 2023.<\/p>\n
With the aim of mitigating this situation in the town, the Cieza Red Cross group has launched "Energy Poverty Workshops" in which families are provided with information and tools to understand complex electricity market terms, observe and evaluate the different concepts present in an electricity or gas bill, and implement energy-saving measures at home.<\/p>\n
The first workshops were held during the month of May, with small groups of people and in coordination with the Social Services of the Cieza City Council.<\/p>\n
A wide variety of families participate in these various training activities, part of the "Fighting Energy Poverty" project, not only those most economically vulnerable, but also any family that wants to understand these concepts and implement energy-saving measures in their homes.<\/p>\n
Likewise, the Cieza Red Cross project includes the possibility of a home visit by specialized personnel to conduct a report on the home's energy efficiency and provide the most vulnerable families with a series of materials such as LED light bulbs or insulation elements for their homes.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
