The University of Murcia and the School of Continuing Education, in collaboration with the Cieza City Council, have opened registration for the course "Anthropology and Art: Ethnographic Testimonies of a People," which will take place from April 8 to 10 at the Folklore Center and the House of Arts and Music in Cieza. This training program has a public fee of 20 euros (15 euros for members of the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena).<\/p>\n
The course, lasting 12.5 hours (0.5 CRAU credits), is directed by Mar\u00eda Trinidad Cutanda L\u00f3pez and Jos\u00e9 Turp\u00edn Saor\u00edn and is supported by the Cieza City Council. Its objectives are based on the life stories of artists from Cieza who, along with their artistic expressions, aim to highlight that a gender perspective does not always inform the historiography of a people, much less its artistic and symbolic reality.<\/p>\n
The program will begin on April 8th at 5:00 PM at the House of Arts and Music, with the opening of the course by Jos\u00e9 Turp\u00edn Saor\u00edn, anthropologist and professor at the University of Murcia, and Mar\u00eda Trinidad Cutanda L\u00f3pez, director of the Permanent Campus of the University of Murcia. Following this, pianist Caridad Galindo and soprano Patricia Dato will offer a musical performance entitled "Anthropology and Music: A Melody." At 7:00 PM, it will be oenologist Irene G\u00f3mez's turn to speak, entitled "Wines with Art: A Project to Savor?"<\/p>\n
The sessions will continue on April 9th, starting at 5:00 PM at the Folklore Center, with "Ethnography Applied to Community Theater" by actress Mar\u00eda Alarc\u00f3n Campos. Then, at 7:00 PM, photographer Carmen Garc\u00eda and collagist Isabel Rodr\u00edguez will present "Photography and Collage: Images to Create."<\/p>\n
Finally, at 5:00 PM, the Folklore Center will present "Art in Cinema: Filmography of a People" by film director and screenwriter Manuela Burl\u00f3.
