International Museum Day is celebrated on May 18th around the world, including in Cieza. Cieza City Council has launched a series of special activities at the city's museums, starting this Thursday. These activities include screenings, special openings, guided tours, and recreational activities for children and adults.<\/p>\n
The program was announced this Monday at the Siy\u00e2sa Museum by Mayor Tom\u00e1s Rubio; Councilor for Museums Mar\u00eda Turp\u00edn; Vice President of the JHP (JHP), \u00c1ngel Penalva; Director of the Siy\u00e2sa Museum, Joaqu\u00edn Salmer\u00f3n; Director of the Municipal Folklore Center, Jes\u00fas Saor\u00edn; and President of the Cieza Artists Association, Rafael Torres.<\/p>\n
International Museum Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of museums as a means of cultural exchange and cultural enrichment.<\/p>\n
Activities begin this Thursday, May 15, at the Esparto Museum with a screening at 8:00 p.m. of the documentary "Cieza, Atochas y Espartizales. Los Trabajos del Esparto." This same venue will hold an open-door evening on Friday, starting at 8:00 p.m., with a guided tour and a nighttime spinning demonstration led by master spinners.<\/p>\n
\ud83c\udfbcOn the other hand, the Board of Passion Brotherhoods has organized a candlelight concert at the Holy Week Museum House, which will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 8:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Likewise, the Municipal Folklore Center has scheduled an escape room titled "Mar\u00eda G\u00f3mez's House," with screenings on Saturday and Sunday at 4:30, 6, and 7:30 p.m. (May 17) and 12:30 p.m. (May 18).<\/p>\n
