Plaza de Espa\u00f1a was filled with joy, music, and conviviality last Friday for the International Day of Families, a day organized to promote the values of unity and respect.<\/p>\n
From early afternoon on, parents, children, grandparents, and young people gathered to participate in creative workshops, face painting, photo booths, and family tree creation.<\/p>\n
These were some of the activities that enlivened the iconic square throughout the day.<\/p>\n
The event was organized by the Department of Social Policies (Department of Social Welfare) in collaboration with the Cieza +Vida association, a local association working in the field of family affairs.<\/p>\n
"The family is the pillar of our society. This day is intended to be a tribute to its essential role and an opportunity to share quality time together," said Gertrudis Juli\u00e1, Councilor for Social Policies.<\/p>\n
