In an environment of mutual learning and collaboration, representatives of the Local Action Group
\n(GAL) of the Citizen Participation Plan for Social Inclusion (PACIS), co-financed by the
\nEuropean Social Fund +, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Equality and the Ministry itself
\nCieza City Council met last Friday in Jumilla to share knowledge and
\nexperiences around social inclusion from a community perspective.<\/p>\n
Delegations from the municipalities of Cieza, Alcantarilla, Mazarr\u00f3n and Totana actively participated
\nin this event, organized by the team of the \u201cProtecting Our Neighborhood\u201d plan of Jumilla.
\nThe session allowed all participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the approach and dynamics of
\nwork and collaborative methodologies that this municipality has developed with its community.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the value of networking and the importance of maintaining spaces were evident.
\nwhere neighbors, municipal technicians, professionals from different areas and representatives of
\nthe General Directorate, Third Sector and Diversity Management of the Ministry of Social Policy
\nFamilies and Equality of the CARM Pilar Cazorla P\u00e1ez who conveyed to us her strong commitment and
\nsupport in these words:<\/p>\n
\u201cThese meetings allow us to learn from each other, strengthen our structures
\nParticipation venues and keep the essence of PACIS alive: building community
\nfrom citizen involvement and maintaining institutional commitment\u201d
\nThe day showed that, although each territory has its particularities, inclusion
\nSocial is built with common methodologies: active listening, joint work between
\nInstitutions and citizens, and the shared will to transform neighborhoods from within
\naddressing strategies for its sustainability.<\/p>\n
This type of initiative consolidates the commitment of the GAL to social cohesion and innovation.
