The PGI Melocot\u00f3n de Cieza has presented its new campaign with Encarna
\nTalavera as godmother. The Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Peach
\nCieza held an institutional event this morning in the plenary hall
\nof the Cieza City Council to present its new promotional campaign
\npeach from Cieza with the relief as godmother of honor between the soccer player
\nCiezano Isi Palaz\u00f3n and the Murcian journalist Encarna Talavera.<\/p>\n
The event was attended by various authorities and personalities from the field
\ninstitutional and agricultural, among them the mayor of Cieza, Tom\u00e1s Rubio; the
\nCouncilor for Agriculture, Manuel Mart\u00ednez, and the President of the Council
\nRegulator of the PGI Peach of Cieza, Manuel Ruiz. They have also been
\nrepresentatives of the producing companies that are part of the PGI,
\nAlimer, Thader Cieza, La Vega de Cieza, Pitiso, and Distinet, thus showing the
\nsector support for this new campaign.<\/p>\n
Under the motto 'We share the most unique thing we have', the PGI Peach of
\nCieza continues the campaign with a slogan that seeks to continue building the
\nNational recognition of the Cieza peach as a quality product
\ndifferentiated. This year, the campaign has taken a significant leap forward in terms of
\nnational, with the broadcast of television spots during the months of July and
\nAugust on general channels, reinforced with promotional content in
\nsocial networks. All this with the aim of promoting and increasing the visibility of a product as unique as the Cieza peach and highlighting the
\nwork of producers and farmers.<\/p>\n
After a year as the image of the PGI Melocot\u00f3n de Cieza, Isi Palaz\u00f3n hands over the
\nwitness as campaign sponsor to Encarna Talavera, renowned journalist and
\nMurcian communicator, always linked to the promotion of the territory,
\nthe culture and agriculture of the Region of Murcia.<\/p>\n
"The choice of Encarna Talavera is a response to her work of dissemination and support
\nto the Region, as well as to his role as a close, committed and
\ngreat ability to connect with the public. His involvement with the land and its
\nmedia visibility makes her an ideal godmother to continue with
\nthis promotional campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n
Talavera has expressed her gratitude for the appointment, stating that \u201cbeing a godmother
\nmeans \u201cmaking a commitment to the peach of Cieza, to the people of
\nCieza and its traditions, with the root of the peach.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tom\u00e1s Rubio, for his part, has pointed out that, with this act, "we celebrate the
\nvalue of what is ours, we pay tribute to the soul of our land: the countryside,
\nOur farmers. It is the effort of those who work the peaches of Cieza,
\nfruit of our identity and our flag, being the best ambassador of
\nour city." Regarding the new godmother, the mayor stressed that "she will

\ntraditional Baby Gold and Romea, grown in the municipality of Cieza. Its
\nRecognition as a PGI guarantees its origin, quality and the know-how of generations of farmers who have turned this product into a symbol
\nof local identity and economic engine. The PGI seeks to protect and promote
\nthis unique product, as well as giving visibility to the effort and the
\nProfessionalization of the Cieza agricultural sector. The European quality seal
