\nfunctional and sustainable, it will become a municipal and regional reference space, for
\naddress our current challenges of inclusion, child protection and response to

In this sense, the Red Cross Delegate in Cieza wanted to make an "appeal to everyone"
\nneighborhood, to the Ciezano society" and invited them to "know, use and feel as their own the new
\nHeadquarters. It is a space for solidarity, learning, participation, and support.

A novel space to take on the challenges of the Red Cross in the municipality of Cieza.<\/p>\n
The move of the Red Cross team in Cieza responds to the fundamental objective of converting
\nThis new space is the nerve center of all Red Cross activity in the municipality
\nof Cieza. A place at the service of people, families and the community. In situations of
\ncrisis, poverty, loneliness or uncertainty, this headquarters will be the immediate access point to the
\nhelp, professional support and human warmth.<\/p>\n
This inaugural event represents the creation of a meeting point for innovation and listening to
\nall social groups, integrating volunteers, neighbors, business organizations,
\neducational centers, administrations, and all people committed to dignity and
\nthe common good. A space that will multiply the capacity to provide effective responses
\nto the most pressing and complex social situations in Cieza and its surroundings.<\/p>\n
To achieve its objectives, the Red Cross has a team in Cieza made up of 95
\nactive volunteers, with more than 900 hours of registered solidarity participation
\nin the last year. Without the committed work of those who selflessly give their
\ntime, effort and knowledge it would not be possible to sustain or develop all the objectives
\nthat the organization plans to carry out in the municipality of Cieza. Similarly,
\nThe members are the democratic base and the stable economic support that allows
\nRed Cross plans and acts independently and continuously.<\/p>\n
In this sense, the Red Cross addresses basic needs (food,
\nhousing, supplies, pharmaceutical and hygiene aids, school supplies) of people and
\nfamilies in situations of severe economic vulnerability.<\/p>\n
Similarly, the Red Cross in Cieza will consolidate the role of its teams as leaders.
\nin the care of immigrants. The spaces at the new headquarters are ready
\nto develop Spanish classes (63 students during the year 2024), implementation
\nprogress of information sessions on the rights, duties and resources of the municipality, as well as
\nsuch as specialized legal guidance, coordination with health, education and services
\nemployment to facilitate full integration and autonomy, as well as a comprehensive response to
\nthe reality of seasonal workers who spend the night in temporary settlements,

Likewise, Red Cross Cieza, in line with the national and regional strategy of
\nchild protection, will strengthen the Foster Care Program. Under the
\ncoordination of a multidisciplinary team, support will be provided to foster families of the
\nmunicipality and surrounding areas. Ten minors were served under this program.
\nduring the year 2024, guaranteeing them an alternative to residential care and betting
\nfor stable family environments.<\/p>\n
Another pillar of social action at the new headquarters is the program to care for people
\ncaregivers, the elderly, and groups with disabilities. During 2024, the number of
\nvisits, calls and actions at home, guaranteeing effective discharge and recognition to the
\ncare collective.<\/p>\n
The humanitarian organization hopes that the new headquarters will also represent a leap forward.
\nqualitative for the Relief and Emergencies area that, in 2024, managed 23 preventive services of various kinds and more than 145 hours of direct service, demonstrating the capacity
\nof the Red Cross in Cieza to anticipate, reduce and respond to risks.
\nEnvironmental protection and sustainability will take center stage in the
\nRed Cross team in Cieza, through programs to combat energy poverty and
\ndistribution of resources for efficiency and domestic savings to vulnerable families, campaigns
\ncleaning of natural spaces, and promoting responsible behavior, recycling and consumption
\nefficient from the headquarters itself, educating by example.<\/p>\n
The new training classroom at the Red Cross headquarters in Cieza will be named after
\nFrancisca Moya del Ba\u00f1o, the first female professor at the University of Murcia and currently
\nRegional Vice President of the Red Cross in the Region of Murcia. Francisca Moya herself,
\naccompanied by Mar\u00eda Teresa S\u00e1nchez Elduayen, president of the Red Cross in the Region of
\nMurcia was present at the inauguration.<\/p>\n
In this classroom a wide range of training courses will be launched, aimed at both the population
\nin general as well as to groups in situations of special vulnerability.
\nThe course "Performance of the caretaker in the services" is already planned immediately.
\n\u201cemergency\u201d and \u201cBasic auxiliary care in nursing\u201d.<\/p>\n
In addition, First Aid and Emergency courses will be given very soon.
\nSemi-automatic defibrillation, as well as Spanish workshops for foreigners, support
\nschool for children and accompanying activities for people in extreme
\nvulnerability.<\/p>\n
The classroom will also serve as a reference point for the Employment program, which
\nwill offer guidance and training tailored to the needs of each participant. Among the
\nPlanned actions include training in personal and social skills, as well as
\ncourses linked to job placement in sectors such as forklift operator, material handling
\nfood, cleaning or warehouse logistics.<\/p>\n
