This Friday, at 8:00 p.m., in the Cajamurcia Culture Hall, the latest work by Cieza historian Alfredo Mar\u00edn Cano, "Neither God nor King" (Families, Local Elites, and Factions in Cieza (1613-1705), will be presented.<\/p>\n
The event will be presented by Manuel Mart\u00ednez Morote, history teacher at the Los Albares Secondary School, and will include a speech by the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas.<\/p>\n

This work is part of the study of Family History through the
\nAnalysis of a local elite in southern Castile, specifically in the Murcian town of
\nCieza during the 17th century, trying to respond to its configuration and typology in
\nrelation to the definition of its tangible, intangible and relational heritage within a
\ncontext marked by the phenomenon of fighting between factions, taking into account the resolution of
\nits objectives, its articulation and, ultimately, the characteristics of those who have
\ndefined as bands of clientelist lineages. Finally, in the search for peace,
\nconsiders the role played by the Cieza community itself, the leading figures of the
\nperiod close to the courtly or regional framework, as well as the need to know
\nwhen and to what degree the members of the clergy and the institutional apparatus acted
