The exhibition, sponsored by the General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities and supported by the Cieza City Council's Women's Department, which included it in its program for International Women's Day on March 8 due to its connection with self-care and good behavior in adolescence, will be open to the public from February 21 to 28 at the Diego Tortosa Secondary School, and from March 1 to 8 at the Los Albares Secondary School.<\/p>\n

'Cuida-T' is composed of 20 photos and is the final result of a project carried out by young women belonging to the CAVI Mar Menor adolescent group, as part of the 'Program for the prevention and intervention in emotional relationships with young adolescents', which has been running since 2011.<\/p>\n

The idea came from the girls themselves after several sessions focusing on the importance of self-care and a good relationship with themselves. They addressed the different forms of self-harm: eating disorders, drug use, self-blame, cutting, emotional dependence, the "myth of love," as well as different ways of taking care of themselves.<\/p>\n

The initial proposal was, "Why don't we use the bodies we damage and abuse to spread messages of self-care and kindness?" Therefore, we used snapshots in which the girls themselves are the protagonists.<\/p>\n

From this, a program was designed and presented at "IMAGINA San Javier," a festival aimed at young artists. The exhibition serves a dual purpose: on the one hand, the artistic purpose of bringing to light situations that are part of their everyday experiences, and on the other, the therapeutic purpose.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
