This afternoon, just after 8:00 p.m., a magnitude 4.1 earthquake was recorded, its epicenter southwest of Albudeite and hypocenter 12 kilometers away.\u00a0of<\/span>\u00a0depth, in principle there is no knowledge of having caused personal or material damage.<\/h5>\n
Many residents of Cieza felt the tremor in their homes, some of whom reported it to the Murcia 1-1-2 emergency coordination center.<\/h5>\n

1-1-2 has received 94 calls reporting seismic movements<\/h3>\n

Since 8:08 p.m., the 1-1-2 emergency line in the Murcia Region has received a total of 94 calls reporting seismic movements. The National Geographic Institute confirmed a magnitude 4.1 earthquake with its epicenter southwest of Albudeite. At 8:16 p.m., another magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck with its epicenter south of Albudeite.<\/p>\n

The calls came from Murcia, Molina de Segura, Alguazas, Alcantarilla, Alguazas, Alhama de Murcia, Archena, Bullas, Cieza, Abar\u00e1n, and Santomera. 1-1-2 also received calls reporting the earthquakes from towns in neighboring provinces such as Orihuela, Elda, Almansa, and Hell\u00edn. Only minor damage was reported to the false ceiling of a home in Bullas. There were no injuries.<\/p>\n

The Director of Citizen Security and Emergencies has activated the Special Civil Protection Plan for Seismic Risk in the Region of Murcia (Plan Sismimur) in its intensification and information monitoring phase, situation 0. According to the Plan, "motivated by the occurrence of seismic phenomena widely felt by the population and will require coordinated action by the competent authorities and bodies, aimed at intensifying information to citizens about said phenomena."<\/p>\n

Pliego has recorded five tremors with epicenters in its municipality so far today.<\/h3>\n

The Pliego area has so far recorded a total of five tremors centered within its municipality, with intensities ranging from 1.8 to 2.6, but these have not been felt by the population.<\/p>\n

Three of them occurred after the 4.1 magnitude earthquake, and two others occurred before it, early this morning, with an intensity of 2.6 on the Richter scale.<\/p>\n

Plus the two produced in Albudeite, there are a total of 7 registered in the region today.<\/p>\n
