During the presentation, the author will be accompanied by Virginia Mart\u00ednez Fern\u00e1ndez, director of the Murcia Region Symphony Orchestra, and Paco L\u00f3pez Mengual, novelist and editor of The Ugly Bourgeoisie. At the end of the event, Pilar Valero will perform piano pieces from the historical period covered by the study.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong><em>Musicians and Cultural Associations in Murcia (1900-1936)<\/em><\/strong> The author explores the various cultural associations during one of the most exciting periods in Murcia&#039;s history: the first third of the 20th century, which concluded with the Civil War. During this period, our region witnessed spectacular economic, social, and cultural advances that gave rise to interesting associative and artistic phenomena. During this period, music was omnipresent in both cultural associations and public spaces (cafes, cinemas, theaters, etc.). Musicians played a very important role in the city&#039;s life, contributing significantly to the cultural splendor of the 1920s. <strong>\u00a0<em>Musicians and Cultural Associations in Murcia (1900-1936)<\/em> <\/strong>aims to pay a well-deserved tribute to all those musicians, recovering their history.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pilar Valero<\/strong> (Molina de Segura, Murcia) began her musical studies at the Murcia Conservatory of Music with Miguel Luis Losada, completing them with an Extraordinary Award. She then continued her training in Belgium. Since then, she has been actively involved in concert, performing in Italy, Belgium, France, Tunisia, Luxembourg, Germany, Russia, and Ljubljana, where she made a critically acclaimed recording for Slovenian television. She currently teaches at the Murcia Conservatory of Music and holds a PhD in Human Sciences from the University of La Rioja.<\/p>\n<p>With the publication of<strong> <em>Musicians and Cultural Associations in Murcia (1900-1936)<\/em><\/strong><em>,<\/em> La Fea Burgues\u00eda, a Murcian publishing house founded to highlight the cultural turmoil experienced in our region, is once again placing a valuable new study in the hands of readers, adding it to its essay collection. It was in May 2017 when the publishing house published <em>The historic C\u00edrculo de Bellas Artes of Murcia on Traper\u00eda Street (1902-1938)<\/em> also a work by the teacher and pianist <strong>Pilar Valero<\/strong>, which aimed to rescue from oblivion the history of one of the most emblematic institutions in the history of Murcia, the C\u00edrculo de Bellas Artes, about which an incomprehensible silence hangs.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Fea Burgues\u00eda Ediciones presents the book &quot;Musicians and Cultural Associations in Murcia (1900-1936).
