Bartolom\u00e9 Marcos wrote the prologue, from which we take the following words: &quot;...Amalia, a woman from Segisana (still young), who faces her situation as a single mother with courage and fortitude, who takes courage in life to end up daring to cross the river, without being swept away by the current, floating away with a second chance that she knows how to earn for herself and her family.&quot;<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"text_exposed_show\">&quot;Crossing the River&quot; is a peaceful, unpretentious novel, yet one with an intense human drama and a village flavor.
