Under the slogan &quot;If you don&#039;t speak out, you&#039;re complicit,&quot; the jury and representatives of the youth organization asserted throughout the event that education and collective awareness were the best way to combat this scourge.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The titles \u201cBrave,\u201d \u201cNeither the land nor women are territory to be conquered,\u201d and \u201cLove doesn\u2019t paint your eyes black\u201d were given to the three winning photographs. The jury, composed of Rosa Campos, a writer from Cieza; Aurora Montoya, a teacher and equality activist; Mar\u00eda Ramos, the Councilor for Youth; and Jos\u00e9 Antonio Campos, the Secretary General of the Youth of the Region of Murcia, led a moving ceremony that highlighted the importance of education and social awareness as weapons in the fight against gender violence.<\/p>\n<p>The mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, attended the event and presented the first prize of 200 euros to Carolina Ill\u00e1n Conesa. The mayor also emphasized the need for institutions to contribute to women&#039;s freedom and courage in making their own decisions without undue influence. &quot;The main objective is cooperation between institutions to provide support for women victims, but also to establish sufficient mechanisms to identify even the most serious forms of aggression that could end in tragedy,&quot; he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the event was enlivened by a performance from \u201cEl Creadero,\u201d who presented an excerpt from their play \u201cMy Life Revolves Around 500 Meters.\u201d In this piece, the protagonists, surrounded by an audience of about a hundred people, depicted the escape route of a young girl who was hiding the abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother. Finally, to conclude the event, \u201cMarta Antipatriarcal\u201d introduced her message of empowerment for women through her poetry.<\/p>\n<p>The Socialist Youth of Cieza would like to thank all the participants for their creativity and for conveying a positive message about ending gender-based violence.
