The\u00a0Association of Friends of the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Cartagena Enrique Escudero de Castro,<\/strong>\u00a0will expose from this\u00a0Thursday, January 17<\/strong>, at\u00a07:30 p.m.<\/strong>, in it\u00a0Siy\u00e2sa Museum of Cieza<\/strong>, the photos of the Third Photography Contest on the Archaeological Heritage of the Region of Murcia, which includes photographs of the Archaeological Heritage of Cieza and by photographers from Cieza.<\/p>\n

Last November the call was made\u00a0Third Edition of the \u201cAntonio Acosta Hern\u00e1ndez\u201d Photography Contest\u00a0<\/strong>in homage to the man who was its first president.<\/p>\n

The main theme of the contest is the\u00a0archaeological heritage<\/strong>. The\u00a0Archeology<\/strong>\u00a0It provides material goods with historical, cultural and aesthetic value that give us back the essence of the people who lived in each historical setting.<\/p>\n

With this contest, and its subsequent exhibition, the objective is to propose a\u00a0challenge to the photographer's gaze<\/strong>, so that it captures that essence and captures these values, at the same time, that it serves to\u00a0to disseminate the fabulous regional archaeological heritage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0first edition<\/strong>\u00a0focused on the\u00a0archaeological heritage of Cartagena and its surroundings<\/strong>, but from the\u00a0second edition<\/strong>\u00a0spread to\u00a0the entire Region of Murcia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The unpublished, original works, either in color or black and white, were\u00a0presented<\/strong>\u00a0until the\u00a0October 22<\/strong>\u00a0at the headquarters of the Municipal Archaeological Museum 'Enrique Escudero de Castro'. In total, there were\u00a042 works presented<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0November 16<\/strong>, in the Municipal Archaeological Museum, the\u00a0awards ceremony\u00a0<\/strong>of the photography contest with the assistance of the\u00a0Heritage Councilor of the Cartagena City Council<\/strong>,\u00a0General Coordinator of the Archaeological Historical Heritage of Cartagena<\/strong>,\u00a0members of the Board of Directors of MUSAEDOMUS<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0technicians from the Archaeological Museum itself<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0jury<\/strong>\u00a0It was composed of\u00a0professionals<\/strong>\u00a0of recognized prestige in the areas of\u00a0Archeology\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Photograph<\/strong>. As for the prizes, there were three, the 1st one endowed with\u00a0500 euros and a trophy<\/strong>, a sculpture by Fernando S\u00e1enz de Elorrieta; the 2nd, with\u00a0300 euros<\/strong>; and the 3rd, with\u00a0100 euros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The winning photographs of the contest were:\u00a0Compass rose<\/strong>\u00a0from Yecla native Juan Miguel Ortu\u00f1o Mart\u00ednez,\u00a0Argaric burial<\/strong>\u00a0from Cartagena's M\u00aa Nieves Ortu\u00f1o S\u00e1enz and\u00a0\u00abPersonal Traits\u00bb<\/strong>\u00a0from the Murcian Miguel Mart\u00ednez S\u00e1nchez.<\/p>\n

After the contest winners were announced and the exhibition was on display at the Cartagena Municipal Archaeological Museum, it was decided to offer it to other museums in the region. The first stop is this Thursday, January 17th, at\u00a0he<\/strong>\u00a0Siy\u00e2sa Museum of Cieza.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition can be visited until\u00a0February 10\u00a0<\/strong>The following hours apply: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sundays, 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
