This time it&#039;s a dramatized reading of Patxi Zubizarreta&#039;s magnificent short story. <em>The red coat<\/em>This story offers a glimpse, from the perspective of young girls, into the tragedy suffered by the children evacuated from Bilbao during the war to escape the horrific bombings by the Francoist-Nazi air force. Specifically, the story follows the children who went to England on their journey and through their desolation. In an intimate way, the author&#039;s powerful prose draws us into the tenderness and sorrow of that disaster. The staging of the story takes on an extraordinary dimension with the musical accompaniment of Pablo Camacho Gonz\u00e1lez on the viola. The Cieza Social History Collective, which has visited various locations in the Region with &#039;The History They Don&#039;t Tell Us,&#039; was founded in 2017 with the aim of fostering critical reflection on the subject of historical study and situating it within society. The collective incorporates into its presentations the perspectives often overlooked in history textbooks, uncovering, through social research, those stories that &quot;aren&#039;t told us.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The event will take place on April 11 at 8:00 p.m. at the Atalaya Club, Ateneo de la Villa de Cieza, as part of the &#039;XV Republican and Historical Memory Week&#039;. In addition, from April 8 to 13, various events will be held at the same venue: on April 8, the opening of the exhibition &#039;Antonio Machado: 80 Years of Exile and Absence&#039;, by Antonio Balsalobre and the Atenea Women&#039;s Association; on April 9, &#039;Poets for the Republic&#039;, a poetry recital by the La Sierpe y el Laud Literature Group; on April 10, &#039;Education and Culture in the Second Republic&#039;, a lecture by Pedro Guerrero; and on April 12, a screening of the documentary that won the 2019 Goya Award in its category, &#039;The Silence of Others&#039; by Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar. And finally, on April 13, TrasCieza\/Against Oblivion presents issue number 7 of its magazine, and the week concludes with a toast to the Republic at a gathering of Friends of the Republican Cause, accompanied by accordionist Juan Hern\u00e1ndez.
