Five people have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of more than a dozen crimes of burglary and theft from commercial establishments.<\/b><\/p>\n

They organized their criminal activities to rob businesses, from which they mainly stole the proceeds from the premises and from the gaming machines.<\/b><\/p>\n

Those arrested have extensive criminal records for property crimes.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has carried out Operation "COCKROACHES," an investigation aimed at solving numerous robberies in businesses in the municipality of Cieza. This operation has resulted in the dismantling of a criminal group, with five members arrested as suspects in 11 counts of burglary and theft.<\/p>\n

The investigation began last July, when the Civil Guard learned of a series of robberies in commercial establishments in the municipality of Cieza. The main objective was to steal cash, cash registers and gaming machines, as well as any valuables that were easy to transport.<\/p>\n

Initial investigations revealed a common pattern in the modus operandi used to gain access to the premises, leading officers to suspect the involvement of several individuals who, in an organized fashion, monitored the premises and carried out the robberies with agility and skill.<\/p>\n

From that moment on, the Civil Guard deployed numerous surveillance devices aimed at preventing further thefts, as well as other discreet surveillance measures in the affected areas, with the intention of locating the suspects.<\/p>\n

In parallel, investigators gathered evidence and clues from various crime scenes, as well as statements from potential witnesses and security camera footage from some of the establishments attacked.<\/p>\n

This information led to the discovery that these robberies were carried out by a group of individuals who generally acted in the early hours of the morning. At least three of them acted in a coordinated manner, such that while one of them monitored the surroundings, the rest entered the property after forcing open doors or windows with blunt objects, all with their faces covered to avoid identification.<\/p>\n

Based on the evidence obtained, the Civil Guard focused its investigation on several experienced criminals living in the municipality. Data was collected on their movements, which led to the discovery that they had, on occasion, exchanged large amounts of small change at a bank in the municipality.<\/p>\n

Recently, after several months of investigation, the Civil Guard has located and arrested five people as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of burglary and theft.<\/p>\n

The five men, aged between 30 and 40, with extensive criminal records for property crimes, one of whom is emerging as the alleged leader of the now-dismantled criminal organization.<\/p>\n

Operation "COCKROACHES" has culminated in the arrest of five members of a criminal group allegedly involved in burglary in commercial establishments, which has led to the investigation of 11 burglary and theft charges in Cieza.<\/p>\n

The arrested individuals and the investigations conducted have been handed over to the Cieza Investigative Court, which has ordered one of the detainees to be imprisoned.<\/p>\n
