Memoirs of a Missionary in Love<\/em> It is a book of love, hate, action, adventures in the Amazon rainforest, and\u2014so often painful and arduous\u2014inner journey, a dialectical struggle against oneself and the world. JOS\u00c9 ANTONIO FERN\u00c1NDEZ MART\u00cdNEZ<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Molina de Segura, 1937<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A graduate in Classical Philology, he taught at the secondary schools of Caravaca de la Cruz and Mula. Ordained a priest in 1961, he carried out his pastoral work in Ceheg\u00edn and Archivel, the main parish of Santiago in Jumilla, the parish of San Joaqu\u00edn in Cieza, and the parish of Santiago Ap\u00f3stol in Hoya del Campo de Abar\u00e1n. He was Episcopal Vicar for the Cieza-Yecla area in the Diocese of Cartagena, Rector of the Seminary, and a teacher at the Merced School in Murcia. He served as Episcopal Vicar for Diocesan Pastoral Care in Azogues, Ca\u00f1ar Province, and also as a missionary in Guayas Province, both in the Republic of Ecuador. In Ecuador, he published a handwritten book of figured music entitled Ecuador sings to the Lord<\/em>.<\/p>\n

In 1985 he married in Cieza, the town where he lives. In 1999, he was a monitor at the "Molino de Teodoro" Municipal Museum. Now retired, he has volunteered with the Red Cross and has been a commentator on several local radio stations. He has also worked as a reader at the municipal library on the program...
