The Department of Crafts has been brimming with ideas for the potential opportunities this presents. This new location, situated on one of the city's natural viewpoints overlooking the surrounding agricultural land, offers unbeatable views of the fields in bloom. To this end, the municipal department, headed by Conchi Villa, has found the ideal partner in the Municipal School of Folklore for a special edition coinciding with the "Flowering" tourism project.

As announced at a press conference, the Department of Crafts and the Cieza Folkloric Group have reached an agreement for students from the Municipal Folklore School to perform this Sunday starting at approximately 12:00 PM. "It's a very fitting way to liven up the market on Hontana Street, with the blooming flowers as a backdrop, because it's a central point for visitors who come to Cieza to see this natural spectacle. I think it can be very positive," Villa acknowledged. The street will be closed to traffic from early Sunday morning until around 3:00 PM – it will reopen once the twenty-five craft stalls have been dismantled.

At the presentation, which also included information about the dance performance 'Dances in Bloom,' Jesús Saorín explained that a total of 60 students from the Municipal Folklore School will participate in the event, along with the rondalla (a traditional string ensemble) and choir from the Cieza Folk Group. According to the president of the long-established folk group, "Jotas, malagueñas, seguidillas, and fandangos make up the repertoire chosen for the occasion. We want to bring color, joy, and music to the blossoming season through six performances." Saorín encouraged residents and visitors to attend the Craft Market, which this year will be held on Hontana Street.

Source: Cieza City Council.

La actividad que se celebra cada primer domingo de mes en la Esquina del Convento se traslada este 1 de marzo a la calle Hontana.
