The government spokesperson believes that the "scarcity" of opposition initiatives is due to the fact that the government is maintaining a "cruising speed" that "the right wing is unable to keep up with."<\/strong><\/p>\n

The municipal government spokesman, Francisco Saor\u00edn, made his assessment of the ordinary plenary session of March on Wednesday, highlighting that \u201cAmong the entire opposition, only three motions were submitted to the March plenary session.<\/strong> despite each of the three groups having a full-time administrative representative and the PP having an additional "free" councillor. Saor\u00edn began by assessing the points discussed at the request of the municipal Executive.<\/strong> giving an account of the approval of the 2020 Annual Financial Control Plan<\/strong>, from the beginning of a File for the declaration of nullity of Article 31 of the agreement on working conditions for public employees of the Cieza City Council<\/strong>, from a proposal by the Councillor for Women and Equality in relation to the International Women's Day<\/strong> and a joint motion of the Socialist and United Left-Green municipal groups urging the regional government to pay the amounts owed to the City Council for various reasons,<\/strong> amounting to 1,200,000 euros.<\/p>\n

Regarding the Government's initiatives, Saor\u00edn has highlighted the \u201cContradictions from opposition groups, especially Ciudadanos and PP, regarding the declaration of nullity of Article 31 of the agreement on working conditions for public employees<\/strong>, asking for one thing and its opposite and without considering that it was only a matter of approving the start of the administrative procedure, not its resolution." He also highlighted the "Vox's denialist stance<\/strong> in the debate on the joint amendment of the other groups relating to gender violence\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Government spokesman has highlighted the \u201cOpposition from right-wing groups to the City Council demanding that the Autonomous Community assume improper powers, the 347,000 euros it has in the executive phase<\/strong> for non-payment of the IBI, and various causes, in addition to the 850,000 euros that it committed to pay for the works on the Paseo Ribere\u00f1o<\/strong>, trying to mix this initiative with an additional amendment in which they blamed the Government of Spain for the debt situation of the Autonomous Community, which has no other cause than the poor management of successive right-wing governments."<\/p>\n

Regarding the opposition's proposals, Saor\u00edn criticized that \u201cVox has not presented any proposal despite having a municipal group and an administrative group<\/strong>, while he dedicates himself to 'lighting up the networks' with falsehoods about municipal management. While, Ciudadanos has limited itself to presenting a motion for the regulation of the use of fireworks<\/strong>, an initiative that, after requesting its withdrawal on the grounds that the unauthorized prohibition of these elements is already contemplated in the Environmental Ordinance, was rejected by the Government.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also referred to the two motions from the popular group<\/strong>, "the only group that on this occasion has completed its quota of initiatives, highlighting that although the first of them, related to the drafting a municipal ordinance on the use of personal mobility vehicles<\/strong>, was acceptable, was amended by the Government with the aim of improving the resolution part of the same.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding the second motion of the PP, relative to the improvement of the facilities and operation of the study rooms<\/strong>, was rejected, after the Youth Councillor asked for its withdrawal, since \u201cWhat was requested in its resolution are actions that the Government is already carrying out"<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson for the local Executive concluded his appearance by stressing that The ordinary plenary session of March "has followed the usual tone<\/strong> from an opposition with poorly developed initiatives, in some cases, and in the wake of municipal work in others.
