SMEs, retailers, hoteliers, and other businesses in Cieza eligible for this direct aid approved by the City Council will have one month to submit applications. The amounts eligible range from \u20ac350 to \u20ac800, depending on the case.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Despite not yet having fully addressed the health crisis, city councils have been working in parallel on an alternative to address the downside of the pandemic: the economic crisis. According to municipal sources, Cieza City Council is serving as a "regional example" in this regard through its "Volvemos" (We're Back) socioeconomic recovery campaign, which includes numerous measures for entrepreneurs, retailers, disadvantaged families, athletes, and others.<\/p>\n

Today, another step was taken in this vital effort toward the reactivation of Cieza and all its social sectors with the signing of a resolution by the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, establishing the regulatory framework and its annexes. The resolution aims to provide direct aid to small and medium-sized businesses, hospitality, SMEs, and other economic activities in the town affected by the declaration of a state of emergency to combat Covid-19.<\/p>\n

These rules have been published on the Cieza City Council's website and bulletin board, as well as on the municipal portal, cieza.es. They will also be announced on social media and other media outlets deemed necessary to ensure maximum dissemination and general awareness among the public. The deadline for submitting applications is thirty days from the day following the publication of the rules and annexes regulating the call in the municipal media.<\/p>\n

At the end of the signing, local councilor Pascual Lucas explained that "the health crisis caused by Covid-19 has brought with it another profound economic and social crisis that is directly affecting our society, as the cessation of activities considered non-essential has a harmful impact on the municipality's economy and leads to job losses, worsening the situation of hundreds of families who have lost their jobs and are plunged into a crisis that generates social inequality. This exceptional situation makes it necessary for the local government to implement measures."<\/p>\n

In this regard, the Cieza City Council has exceptionally allocated a \u20ac400,000 grant to establish aid lines for economic activities forced to cease. The objectives of the grants are based on public, social, economic, and humanitarian interests. They aim, on the one hand, to prevent the destruction of these businesses, which are an economic and social driving force and generator of employment in the municipality, and, at the same time, to prevent the destruction of jobs by promoting aid measures to maintain and increase the employment generated by the local commercial, hospitality, and SME sectors. The grants to be distributed will range between \u20ac350 and \u20ac800, depending on the applicants' circumstances.<\/p>\n

For her part, Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez, the councilor in charge of these measures focused on SMEs closely related to the commercial and hospitality sector, stated that "these grants are a respite from the socioeconomic crisis that has hit SMEs, retailers, and hospitality industry hard and will take a few months to overcome. However, local representatives are here to work hard from the Administration, as our desire and responsibility is to stand by all of them and the families behind each shutter." She also added that new rules will be published next week for participating in a local consumption incentive campaign that, through vouchers issued worth \u20ac100,000, aims to encourage all citizens to shop and consume in Cieza's establishments.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
