To commemorate the reopening of Siyâsa, the Department of Tourism, led by Antonio Moya, together with the concessionaire for its tourist operation, Stipa Servicios Turísticos, SL, organized three different types of visits so that tourists could choose any of them every day of the week. A night visit, a sunset visit, and an archaeological route were offered, allowing visitors to see the municipality's two main tourist attractions: the Sima de la Serreta cave and the Siyâsa site.

The number of visitors received during these first 15 days totals approximately 500 people from different corners of the Region and from the national and European territory, with half of the total users being from the city of Cieza itself, a fact that has led to the satisfaction of Mayor Pascual Lucas, who explained it this way: "I am extremely happy to see that the residents want to know this jewel that speaks of the history of our municipality and our Region, since appreciating what we have in our own town makes us strive even harder to preserve it and show it to the rest of the world."

More than 80 visitors are from other municipalities in Murcia such as Abarán, Molina, Guadalupe, Murcia, Beniaján, Alcantarilla, etc., 48 from other Spanish communities such as Valladolid, Salamanca, Barcelona, Alicante, Hellín, Albacete and Galicia, and almost twenty have come from different parts of Europe, including Russia, Ukraine, France and England.

Due to the current health conditions, groups are smaller than usual, and all necessary protocols have been implemented to ensure safety.

The site has received a large number of requests to visit over the past few days, and in order to respond to this overwhelming response, the visiting days have been extended to accommodate the demand.

Great acceptance

As for the overall feedback from visitors, the reception has been excellent, with a large number of congratulations being received both for the outcome of the project and for the progress of the visits.

Another impression gathered is that, after the visits, the public recognizes the importance and the high scientific and historical value of the site.

Source: Cieza City Council.

El Ayuntamiento hace balance de esta joya histórica que en tan solo dos semanas ha despertado el interés de cientos de turistas que han disfrutado del yacimiento en tres tipos de rutas.
