The 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia has received several calls from 10:12 p.m. onwards reporting a traffic accident on the A-30 motorway towards Albacete, at kilometer marker 83, in the municipality of Cieza.<\/p>\n
Reports indicate a collision between a refrigerated semi-trailer truck and a truck loaded with fruit that was broken down on the shoulder.<\/p>\n
The semi-trailer caught fire after the collision.<\/p>\n
The Civil Guard confirms the need for an ambulance to attend to the semi-trailer driver, who sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n
The fire spreads to the cabin, causing it to explode.<\/p>\n
The highway is closed while emergency services work.<\/p>\n
The duty chief of the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium has mobilized a total of 5 firefighters and two firefighting vehicles, a light urban fire engine and a heavy water tanker.<\/p>\n
Road maintenance personnel are working in the area.<\/p>\n
