THREE ASSYRIAN-BABYLONIAN QUADRIGAS AND ONE EGYPTIAN<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This year, the White Step of Lorca debuts the first Assyrian-Babylonian chariots, which will be driven by Judith, Holofernes, and Achior, characters who will parade on beautiful combat chariots made with refined silver and gold metalwork, incorporating classic motifs from the Assyrian iconographic repertoire. The metallic surfaces of the chariots have been worked using embossing and hammering techniques, combining silver and gold metals, and introducing Assyrian art motifs on the sides of the three chariots using the chiseled-embossed technique: Judith's chariot features two winged bulls, while Holofernes' chariot bears elements of the Assyrian armament (quiver, shield and sword)\u00a0<\/strong>in bas-relief\u00a0and the one from Aquior carries two quivers with spears.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A new chariot has also been made for Pharaoh Siamun,\u00a0<\/strong>crafted with refined gold metalwork\u00a0with classic motifs from Egyptian iconography.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The four cars represent an exceptional work carried out in the workshops of\u00a0Goldsmith Successors of Francisco Penalva L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, in Cieza.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
