Mayor Tomás Rubio, Councilor Mari Ángeles Ruiz, and Amparo Pino, head of Women's Affairs, took to the streets this Wednesday to promote the campaign against gender-based violence, "Whoever loves you well...", at the weekly market.

The campaign is included in the program of activities organized around the commemoration of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The councilor and councilwomen distributed action guides for various situations of gender-based violence, as well as existing resources and reusable bags from the "Whoever loves you well..." campaign. This was intended to raise awareness about the campaign and raise public awareness about the scourge of gender-based violence.

During this activity, Mayor Tomás Antonio Rubio Carrillo, Councillor for Personnel Mª Ángeles Ruiz Aniorte and Amparo Pino, along with technicians from the Women's Department, distributed more than a thousand bags and action guides free of charge during the weekly market. The market provided information about the campaign, raised awareness of the situation of many women who are being abused, and raised awareness so that the population of Cieza is aware of the reality in which we live.

"The Cieza City Council continues its fight against this social scourge and will continue to strive for a municipality free of gender-based violence," municipal sources stated.
