This week, the Local Government Board agreed to sign a collaboration agreement between the Cieza City Council and ENAE Business School aimed at promoting business innovation and employment in the municipality. This collaboration is part of the efforts of the Cieza Department of Employment and Economic Development to strengthen the local economy through technical training for postgraduate students and business development.
The objectives are to train citizens and help businesses in the Region of Murcia find talent, create opportunities for the people of Cieza, especially young people, sponsor scientific and technical training for postgraduates and business training, promote the employability of residents of Cieza served by the City Council and the Employment Service, and establish discounts for residents of Cieza who receive a 10% (10%) on enrolment in ENAE master's degrees, short courses, and executive programmes.
The agreement, ratified by the Local Government Board, will allow both entities to work together on research, studies, and training projects related to industry, innovation, and technology.
Commitments
Among the commitments made, the Cieza City Council will facilitate the dissemination of ENAE's activities and programs, include a direct link on its website, and collaborate on initiatives such as employment forums and training sessions. For its part, ENAE will offer discounts on tuition and training programs to residents registered in Cieza, in addition to advising the City Council on the submission of funding projects.
This agreement, which does not entail any financial obligations for the City Council, underscores the importance of public-private collaboration in the municipality's economic and social development. With the signing of this agreement, Cieza positions itself as a leader in promoting employability and business development in the region.
Cristo Manuel Lucas pointed out that one of the objectives of this agreement is to "make it easier for young people from Cieza to continue their training once they've begun their professional careers through coordination between the City Council and companies. This agreement will also allow discounts on registrations for Ciezans to take courses promoted by ENAE."
The signing of the agreement with Mayor Tomás Rubio was attended by Miguel López, Director General of ENAE, and Pedro López Carreño, Manager of ENAE's Employment Development Service.
Rubio noted that "the agreement opens the door for young people and older residents of Cieza, whether future or already employed, to broaden their horizons toward an employability model based on job competitiveness, for which they must be prepared by identifying the necessary talent."
