Cieza City Council, through its Employment Department, is launching two professional certifications in December.
The first of these, a 490-hour Level 2 course, is called "Carpentry and Furniture Finishing." It will begin on December 20th, Monday through Friday. There are 15 places available.
The other training program is "Pastry," a Level 2 professional certificate lasting 500 hours, also with 15 places available. This course will begin on December 18th, Monday through Friday.
The requirements for students to be eligible for these training courses are: being unemployed and registered as a job seeker at the SEF offices, and holding a Compulsory Secondary Education diploma or equivalent.
Carpentry and Pastry Course
It is important to highlight the importance of all training planned and delivered by the Department of Employment being adapted to the new system of professional qualifications through Professional Certificates. This procedure has the main advantage of official accreditation, granted by the public administration, of training for the development of a job with employment significance.
Furthermore, this type of training includes a non-work experience module in companies in the sector, allowing students their first exposure to the world of work and increasing their chances of finding employment upon completion of the course.
Both courses are free and subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) as part of the annual training program aimed primarily at unemployed workers. They will be held in INFOEM's classrooms and training workshops, as well as in the CICOLA Space for the Pastry course. For more information and to register, visit INFOEM, Camino de Murcia S/N.
