Today we congratulate the members of the Cieza Local Police on their holiday. 
Today a small ceremony was held at the Capitol Theatre where their great work was acknowledged, and awards were given to police officers for certain actions during the last two years, to two retired female police officers, to two members for their 25 years in the force, as well as to the new officers and those who are in training.
There has also been a memorial plaque for the family of Daniel Rico, a police officer who died in 2020.
During the event, thanks were given to the Cieza Civil Protection team and all the local volunteers who have collaborated during this time of pandemic.
The Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, announced during his speech the renovation of the Police Station facilities, as well as more protective equipment for the officers, 2 new hybrid vehicles, and 2 electric motorcycles.
