The Cieza publishing house is present for the first time at the Fair with some of its authors
The Publishers Guild of the Region of Murcia is present at the Madrid Book Fair for the first time, with its own booth, where some of the region's publishing houses are represented. Alfaqueque-based publisher Fernando Fernández Villa, who was president of the guild for 11 years, is celebrating his 15th anniversary at Spain's most important fair. Fernández will bring some of his writers to sign copies, including Antonio Balsalobre from Cieza, who will do so on Saturday, June 3, with his novel Maryam of Siyasa.
Fernando Fernández, who received the El Meteorito Publishing Award for the Complete Works of Eliodoro Puche last November, will be taking part of his catalog to Madrid. There, works by important authors such as Miguel Espinosa, Juan Álvarez, Eliodoro Puche, Antonio Gómez Rufo, Julio Anguita, Victoria Bermejo, and illustrator Leticia Ruifernández will be available for purchase.
Likewise, the Cieza-based publisher will be present with other labels such as La Fea Burguesía Ediciones and the Tirano Banderas publishing house, where several of its authors will also have the opportunity to sign their works.
Fernández Villa expressed his satisfaction with these 15 years of Alfaqueque publishing. Years of hard work and enthusiasm, and he recalled that, despite this, in 2014, together with editor Paco Marín and writer Paco López Mengual, he founded the publishing houses La Fea Burguesía and Tirano Banderas, which have brought them so much joy.
