This past Thursday, the Association of Businessmen and Industrialists of Cieza (AEICIeza) presented its traditional annual awards in what is now its third edition. On this occasion, AEICIeza had the privilege and satisfaction of awarding its 2018 AEICieza Mention to Sabor de Cieza S. Coop. for their tireless and valuable work as a family: they are and will continue to be a model and benchmark for the business sector in Cieza. The award was presented by Miriam Guardiola, CARM (Carm) Tourism Councilor, and received by Francisco Lucas, founder of the company along with his wife, who reviewed the origins of this family business in a moving speech, which included the memory of his son Paco.

The 2018 AECIeza Special Mention has been awarded to the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia and its director, Joaquín Gómez Gómez from Cieza, for their work promoting innovation, development and empowerment of the business sector in Cieza, and for their invaluable support, dedication and commitment; it was presented by Pascual Lucas, Mayor of Cieza, and collected by Joaquín Gómez Gómez, who gave an overview of the work and objectives of the INFO, and reported that this year a significant amount of funds have been awarded by this organization to companies from Cieza.

The 2018 AEICieza Award was presented to Valencianísimos for its tireless efforts to advance, for being a benchmark in terms of its business model and successes. Presented by Javier Lucas, president of AEICIeza, it was accepted by Francisco Hita and Antonio Esteve, who, with warm and friendly words, shared that many of the business owners present have been a role model for him and noted that the foundation of this company's success is none other than a team and natural, quality products, made "as if they were for us."

Finally, and outside of any programming, the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, presented a pin with the Cieza coat of arms to Francisco Ruiz, former president of the business association.

Following the awards ceremony, the traditional Christmas dinner was held with members and their guests, which, as usual, took place in an extraordinarily cordial and relaxed atmosphere.
