The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) warns that from noon today until 9 p.m. today, thunderstorms and rainfall of up to 15 liters per square meter per hour are possible. Therefore, AEMET has issued yellow weather warnings for rain and thunderstorms in the Altiplano, Northwest, and Vega del Segura regions.

The Aemet notice literally says:

According to Aemet, a yellow weather warning for storms indicates that in the affected area, "locally heavy rain and/or locally strong winds and/or hail less than 2 cm in diameter" are expected (according to the Meteoalert Plan). Given the nature of these phenomena, there is a possibility that storms of greater intensity may occur in isolated areas.
