The Cieza City Council has published the "Regulatory Bases for School Transportation Grants for Compulsory Secondary Education Students at the IES Los Albares for 2023 - 2022-2023 Academic Year."
The application period begins on April 26 and ends on May 10, 2023.
Applications and necessary documentation:
Applicants should address themselves to the Mayor of the City Council of Cieza and present their application at the City Council's General Registry (Municipal Citizen Service Center [Old Courts Building - Corner of the Convent], attaching the following:
– The transportation grant application form (Annex I) is available free of charge at the City Hall's General Registry, located in the Municipal Citizen Service Center [Old Courts Building – Corner of the Convent]. You can also download it from the Cieza City Hall Notice/Edict Board (https://sede.cieza.es) on the publication date.
– Bank account number (International Bank Account Code - IBAN), reflected in Annex I of the Bases, where the main family member (Recipient-Representative) who signs the application must appear as the account holder, in which the scholarship will be paid in case it is granted.
– Proof, in the case of separated or divorced parents, from the person who has been granted custody of the minor.
– The conditions stated in the application must be met on the date of submission, regardless of the date the certifications were issued. If, after submission, any of the stated conditions are regularized, the applicant will not be eligible for this aid.
Beneficiaries and requirements:
Students who will be enrolled in Compulsory Secondary Education at the IES Los Albares in Cieza during the 2023 academic year (2022-2023) will be eligible to apply for the grant.
The father, mother, or legal guardian/foster of compulsory secondary education students enrolled at IES Los Albares may be eligible for aid, provided the following circumstances apply:
– Be registered in the Municipal District of Cieza.
– The recipient (father, mother, or guardian) and the other spouse must be up to date with their municipal tax payments or obligations. If they are subject to deferral or installment payments for any municipal tax payment or obligation, they cannot qualify for this assistance.
– Be enrolled at IES Los Albares in Compulsory Secondary Education.
– Commute daily or regularly to IES Los Albares.

The purpose of these rules is to establish the regulatory bases for the call, on a competitive basis, for financial aid to contribute to the cost of meeting a part of the total expense that school transport represents for families for the year 2023 - 2022/2023 academic year, for compulsory secondary education students enrolled at the "Los Albares" Secondary Education Institute.
BUDGET ALLOCATION: The maximum individual amount of aid will be €60.00 (sixty euros). In the case of prorated aid, the individual amount may not exceed €120.00 (one hundred and twenty euros).
BENEFICIARIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
– Students who will be enrolled in Compulsory Secondary Education at the IES Los Albares in Cieza during the 2023 school year (2022-2023) will be eligible to apply for the grant.
– Beneficiaries may include the father, mother, or legal guardian/foster of students enrolled in compulsory secondary education at IES Los Albares, provided that the following circumstances apply:
Be registered in the Municipal District of Cieza.
The recipient (father, mother, or guardian) and the other spouse must be up-to-date with their municipal tax payments or obligations. If they are subject to deferral or installment payments for any municipal tax payment or obligation, they will not be eligible for this assistance.
Be enrolled at IES Los Albares in Compulsory Secondary Education.
Commute daily or regularly to IES Los Albares.
– Students are excluded from school transportation provided by the Department of Education.
– Separated or divorced parents, the beneficiary is the one who has been granted custody of the minor, duly justified, and, in the case of shared custody, the one with whom the minor is registered.
– The conditions stated in the application must be met on the date of submission, regardless of the date the certifications were issued. If, after submission, any of the stated conditions are regularized, the applicant will not be eligible for this aid.
FORMALIZATION OF APPLICATIONS, PLACE AND DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:
– Applications must be addressed to the Mayor of the Cieza Town Council and formalised using the official forms shown in Annex I. These forms will be provided free of charge at the Town Council’s General Registry (Municipal Citizen Service Centre [Old Courts Building – Corner of the Convent]). You can also download them from the Cieza Town Council Notice/Edict Board (https://sede.cieza.es) on the date of publication.
– Applications should preferably be submitted to the General Registry of the Cieza City Council (Municipal Citizen Service Center - Old Courts Building - Corner of the Convent), as well as to any of the offices established in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

Check that the student's father, mother, or legal guardian/foster is registered in the Municipal District of Cieza.
Check that both parents, the father, the mother, or the student's legal guardian/foster are up to date with their municipal tax payments or obligations.
Please check with IES Los Albares to ensure that the applicant is enrolled in Compulsory Secondary Education during the 2020/2021 School Year.
If you check "Annex I" on the application form, indicating that you DO NOT authorize the City Council to access the data and records held by any Public Administration, this will result in the automatic denial of the grant.
The deadline for submitting documents will be from April 26 to May 10, 2023, inclusive.
PUBLICATION OF LIST OF STUDENTS WHO DO NOT COMPLY WITH ANY REQUIREMENT(S):
Before submitting the assessment and awarding of the grants to the Award Committee, a list of students who fail to meet one or more of the necessary requirements will be published on the City Council Notice Board. Students will have a period of ten calendar days, starting on the day following its publication on the City Council Notice Board, to submit to the City Council's General Registry the appropriate documentation or certifications that reliably justify compliance with the conditions stated in the application on the date of submission. It should be noted that if "Annex I" is marked on the application form, which does NOT authorize the City Council to access the data and records held by any Public Administration, this will result in the automatic denial of the grant, with no possibility of rectification.
IMPORTANT:
THESE GRANTS ARE ONLY FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE 4 YEARS OF COMPULSORY SECONDARY EDUCATION AT IES LOS ALBARES DURING THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023.
