Due to the current health crisis caused by COVID-19, the Department of Employment and Economic Development continues to work to support both affected economic sectors and workers who have become unemployed during this period.

Therefore, as in the previous season and in collaboration with the Cieza Farmers' Center (comprised of the agricultural organizations FECOAM, COAG, and UPA), the UGT and CCOO unions, and the Employment and Training Service (SEF), information will be disseminated so that those interested in joining the job pool for the 2021 agricultural season know how to submit their resumes to cooperatives and companies. "In this way, we aim to achieve the threefold objective of improving the socio-labor conditions of the population (ensuring pay increases for the unemployed and a safety net for undocumented immigrants), maintaining the income of those most in need, and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural activity and, at the same time, guaranteeing the normal supply of markets."

"It is essential to guarantee a sufficient labor supply to meet the needs of farmers, so that proper production is ensured, not only in quantity but also in time, so that it reaches the final consumer without loss of quantity and quality."

"The special conditions of the population lockdown and the restriction of mobility, agreed as an unavoidable health measure, make it even more important that our agri-food production can develop under the best possible conditions given the situation and ensure a full, efficient and sufficient supply to citizens of the food products they need."

To this end, all those interested in working during the agricultural campaign on the farms and cooperatives of the municipality can submit their resume in the e-CURRICULUM section of the SEF website, through the following link:
