Firefighters from the CEIS (Cieza Fire Department) in Cieza Park opened the door of an ATM at around 8:30 p.m. today and rescued a two-year-old girl trapped inside.
The ATM is located in a bank on the Paseo.
Apparently the father came in with the girl and when he finished performing the operation, he left and the door closed, leaving the little girl still inside.
Local police and workers were dispatched to the scene but were unable to open the door, so firefighters were called in and were able to break the lock using a drill.
The girl was promptly treated by her parents, and she did not experience any problems, so no further resources were required for this intervention.
