On March 9, an equal opportunities workshop for women was held at the municipal social housing facilities on Molinico de la Huerta Street as part of the 4th Intervention Project with the Roma Population, taught by Cavi Cieza Vega Alta.
Municipal sources indicate that, over the years, efforts have been made to "promote the role of Roma women in the municipality of Cieza as a force for group cohesion, a transmitter of values, and an agent of social change, facilitating and promoting their personal development through workshops on motivation, gender equality, and social skills, and fostering their ability to make decisions, understand their own desires, and be able to act independently."
The workshop addressed the concept of origin and the identification of situations of gender inequality. It featured audiovisual tools and debates with broad participation from the women in attendance.
