This Tuesday, January 23rd at 7:00 pm in the Carmelo Gómez Templado Auditorium of the House of Arts and Music, the third of the talks under the title 'Women and Sport' arrives within the Cycle of Talks on Sport. It will last 1 hour and 30 minutes, and will be given by the doctor in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, and professor at the Faculty of Education of the University of Murcia, Juan Luis Yuste Lucas from Cieza.

This series of conferences on sports, taking place in Cieza, is part of the Cieza City Council's Education Department's project, called Cieza Educating City. According to the Councilor for Education, Manuela Fernández, "As an educating city, we work to ensure that education is a cross-cutting element of all local policies, raising awareness and strengthening the educational potential of actions and programs related to health, the environment, urban planning, mobility, culture, and sports..." "On this occasion, we are working with the Department of Sports and Health on such an important topic as sports, because sports have become a social and cultural phenomenon of utmost importance for citizens of all ages, possibly due to the educational values they convey."

As we know, physical activity provides numerous benefits to an individual's quality of life. Sport and exercise can have positive effects on social, emotional, and mental well-being; they can provide satisfying and pleasurable experiences; they foster social connections; and they contribute to empowerment.
