The Ministry of the Interior is installing these points in several municipalities in the region where there are no documentation units. In total, they are planned to be installed in 13 municipalities soon.

Government Delegate Mariola Guevara stated that the aim of this plan is to facilitate citizens' interaction with the public administration and avoid having to travel to other municipalities.

These points have already been launched in Águilas, Cieza, Caravaca, Mazarrón, Torre Pacheco, and Mula.

Just this week, one of these points was launched at the Cieza local police offices. According to the town's mayor, Tomás Rubio, this is very positive, as it offers proximity to residents and facilitates procedures for users.

Police Chief Ignacio del Olmo has praised the Spanish DNI model, which will be extended to the entire European Union. He also announced the upcoming launch of vans that will allow DNIs to be issued on-site, eliminating the need for two separate procedures: the data entry process and then the actual collection of the document.

This mobile office will soon be responsible for processing ID cards, and even passports, in the city of Cieza.
