The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued yellow-level warnings for temperatures that could reach 39 degrees in Vega del Segura, Valle del Guadalentín, Lorca, and Águilas, and for southwesterly winds of up to force 7 and 3-meter waves on the Murcia coast.

On the other hand, according to the General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions of the Ministry of Health, the Preventive Action Plan for the Effect of Excessive Temperatures on Health is at level 1, index 2, yellow, since it is expected that tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday, the maximum daily temperature will exceed 34 degrees and the minimum daily temperature will exceed 23 degrees, considered as the threshold in the aforementioned Plan.

We share some recommendations:

  • Avoid direct exposure to the sun.
  • Cool off.
  • Drink fluids and eat fruits and vegetables frequently.
  • Ask for information and advice at your health center or pharmacy. If you are taking any medication, or if you notice unusual or worrying symptoms, consult your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
