Cieza City Council has intensified its efforts to prevent the spread of tiger mosquitoes in response to the forecast of rain and rising temperatures.

Although the control campaign is carried out throughout the year, control efforts are intensified during the warmer months, when they are most intensive.

To this end, action is being taken in all public spaces that may be breeding grounds for mosquitoes, such as areas flooded by rain or drains.

Through the company that has been awarded the service "INTEGRATED PEST PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CIEZA", LOKÍMICA, SA, the Cieza City Council has begun carrying out these actions to combat the tiger mosquito on the Paseo and Plaza de España, and has continued to cover the different areas of the municipality and public buildings, including the public and private schools in the municipality.

In order to reach as many locations as possible, eradicate mosquito infestations as quickly as possible, and thus improve the quality of life in the municipality, the Cieza City Council is calling for public collaboration to provide timely warnings when detecting possible outbreaks, using the application https://xcieza.es/.

In addition, the Cieza City Council is carrying out other pest control efforts, primarily focusing on sewage systems and other public spaces such as parks and gardens, as well as various municipal offices.
