The CIEZAPS Unified Sports Club today presented the "Sport, by everyone and for everyone" workshops that will be held in local schools, advocating for equality and inclusive sport.

The press conference was attended by the Councilor for Disability, Amparo Pino; the Councilor for Sports, Pascual Egea; and the heads of CIEZAPS, Manuel Martínez and Juan Marín.

The events are funded by the European Union through the NextGeneration program and aim to promote equality in sport, raise awareness about the benefits of physical activity, and raise awareness about the importance of including people with disabilities through sport.

The planned activity consists of talks supported by audiovisual media that provide a conceptual approach to disability and sport; presentations by various athletes with disabilities and coaches who will share their sporting experiences and achievements, the social and personal benefits they have had (improved physical and mental health), and the challenges they have encountered throughout their sporting careers.

Inclusive and cooperative sports activities will also be held, with the joint participation of speakers and attendees, simulating situations faced daily by athletes with disabilities.
