The Department of Social Policies of the Cieza City Council has once again implemented the Community Intervention Project with the Roma Population within the 2022/2023 Roma Development Plan.

The Plan is funded by the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda and the Murcian Institute for Social Action of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.

Following the program's strong reception and annual participation, the closing ceremony for the 2022/2023 academic year took place last Tuesday, July 11th. The closing ceremony was attended by Gertrudis Juliá Villa, Councilor for Social Policies, and María José Aroca García, Director of the Cieza City Council's Social Services Center.

The Department of Social Welfare has organized several end-of-year activities featuring the municipality's children. These included recreational workshops, a foam party, excursions, and recreational outings, among others.

The work is being carried out by various social technicians from the department in various areas of the project: Social Inclusion, Education, Health, Employment, Housing, Participation, Culture, Non-Discrimination and Anti-Gypsyism, and the area of Equal Opportunities between Men and Women.
