Specifically, this grant will finance the labor costs of the project. The work focuses on repairing roads that have deteriorated and are damaged due to use, requiring their upkeep and maintenance. The main areas where work will be carried out are the pedestrian zone of the Rambla del Ralejo, Hontana Street, Mesones Street, Placeta del Santo, Doctor Fleming Street, Albaicín Street, Cuesta Cosme, Ronda del Madroño and the village of Ascoy, Azorín Avenue, Italia Avenue, Santa Gertrudis Street, Santa Ana Street, San José Street, Camino Madrid, Camino de la Presa, Camino de la Corredera, Camino de Fomento Agrícola, and Camino de la Serrana.

The total cost of the work amounts to €101,447.56, of which €49,875.00 are subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) and €51,572.56 will be contributed by the Cieza City Council, through the Department of Employment and Economic Development.

The purpose of this program is to acquire work experience and improve the employability of unemployed people registered in employment offices and to promote activity in those sectors at the local level where new needs are detected that are not yet met, by subsidizing labor costs for the hiring of workers for the execution of works or services of general and social interest, through collaboration with entities external to the Public Employment Services (Subprogram «Local Public Employment»).

To this end, three first-class bricklayers and one bricklayer's laborer will be hired for six months. Those interested in participating in this program and who possess these professional profiles can visit the Cieza Employment Office for more information. This initiative continues the work established by the Department of Employment and Economic Development, promoting employment for groups facing particular difficulties in entering the workforce.
