Municipal sources from the Cieza City Council denounce in a statement that "the Autonomous Community of Murcia will not invest a single euro for the conservation of archaeological and paleontological sites in some twenty municipalities of the Region of Murcia due to a lack of budgetary availability, including the Siyâsa archaeological site in Cieza."

According to the councilor in charge of Tourism and Historical Heritage, Antonio Moya, the funds allocated by the regional government in the budgets of the Autonomous Community for the conservation of the Region's archaeological heritage "are ridiculous and clearly insufficient given that more than 20 municipalities, including Cieza, will not receive a single euro from the Murcian Executive for this purpose due to a lack of budgetary availability, as communicated by the General Directorate of Cultural Assets."

The press release explains that “the regional government only allocates 477,000 euros to heritage conservation for the entire Region, compared to the two million euros it spends on salaries for 'advisors' and trusted staff, which clearly demonstrates that historical heritage is not a priority for the regional government of López Miras.”

Antonio Moya believes that “the regional government’s neglect of archaeological heritage contrasts sharply with the efforts made by local councils, despite the fact that these responsibilities lie with the Autonomous Community.” He also points out that this situation, coupled with the Autonomous Community’s lack of budgetary resources, “calls into question the Minister of Culture, who is full of empty promises but, when push comes to shove, doesn’t allocate a single euro to conserve and enrich the heritage of our city and the Region.”

In conclusion, Antonio Moya affirms that the Cieza City Council “will continue working decisively to conserve and publicize the historical heritage of our city, as it has been doing with the Floración tourism project, with the actions to highlight the richness of the municipality's rock art co-financed by the Government of Spain, or supporting the excavation work of the Cueva del Arco.”
