The Las Morericas Municipal Senior Citizens Center hosted a Christmas bag painting workshop for the first time, which was very well received by its users.
The workshop was taught by Encarna Lorenzo, a volunteer from AMUVIN and the municipal center, who led the group of participants. This training activity used the technique of stenciling on fabric, and after learning the technique and practicing it, they decorated beautiful cotton bags with Christmas motifs.
With this activity, the Department for Seniors aims to promote artistic creativity and the Christmas spirit, as well as raise awareness about environmental protection by using cloth bags for shopping, thereby reducing the use of plastic ones.
Cristina García-Vaso, the representative for the Senior Citizens Department, thanks all the participants for attending an activity in which she herself participated during the session, creating her own work.
