This Christmas, some concerts have been held and are still to be held from a series of events that we are doing jointly with the Cristo del Valle Musical Group of Torreagüera, the Via Musicalis Choir of Beniaján and the Musical Union of Cieza, calling for the shows "Song to winter and Christmas"It's a series of concerts, one of which will be held in our town jointly by us and the aforementioned Choir, which will bring together around 80 people, including instrumentalists and singers, at the Basilica of the Assumption on January 7 at 8:00 p.m. to perform various works.
This concert will feature a performance of a work by the renowned Dutch composer and conductor Jacob de Haan called the Mass of Saint Cecilia, which will be the third time it has been performed in Spain. The second part of the event will feature various Christmas carols from different parts of Spain and the world.
From the Musical Union of Cieza we also wanted to remember the people who are having a hard time in these times of economic hardship and, taking advantage of the time of year, we have decided to collaborate with the Piedras Vivas association so that the entrance fee (3€) go entirely to the soup kitchen.
