This coming Tuesday, December 25th, will mark 25 years since the Ars Nova Choir first performed its Christmas concert. To mark the occasion, the choir members have prepared a repertoire that will include some of the most significant works they have performed over the years.
Tuesday, December 25, at 8:00 p.m., at the Basilica of the Assumption.
Ars Nova will offer a performance with orchestra on the 25th anniversary of its traditional Christmas Concert
Classical pieces by Handel, Vivaldi, Mozart, Brahms, and Pergolesi will be performed in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption in Cieza, along with traditional Christmas carols, with which the choir and the audience will celebrate the arrival of Christmas and the fellowship characteristic of this time of year.
The concert will feature 40 choir members and a 22-piece orchestra. Patricia Dato, Manuel Moreno, and Juan Iniesta will also perform as soloists in the soprano, tenor, and baritone registers, respectively. Alejandro Molina Carrasco will conduct the concert.
The Ars Nova association invites all residents of Cieza to attend this concert, which will combine high-quality music with the warm atmosphere created by Christmas melodies.
The concert is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture through the Institute of Cultural Industries, the Department of Culture of the Cieza City Council, and the Obra Social de la Caixa. It also has the support of Ortopedia Azorín, the La Cañeta confectionery, and Cepsa Benedicto.
