The Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, and the Councilor for Economic Development and Employment, Antonio Moya, visited students participating in the course on the installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas, which was subsidized by the Regional Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia and co-financed by the European Social Fund, with a total budget of 35,100 euros.
This training program is a Level 2 professional certificate, which can be obtained by completing compulsory secondary education or its equivalent. It is attended by 15 unemployed workers, primarily from the service and agricultural sectors.
Participants will receive 470 hours of theoretical training and will have the opportunity to complete 80 hours of practical work in local companies, which "will give them a real insight into economic activity and direct contact with the company, while putting the knowledge they've learned into practice, demonstrating their ability to adapt to the job market."
The course, which will end on March 20, 2018, is being taught in the training classrooms at the INFOEM building of the Department of Employment and Economic Development, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and will also use the municipal facilities located in Ascoy.
This professional certification is a further commitment by the Department of Employment and Economic Development to the professional qualifications of its employees, "promoting the hiring of trained and qualified workers who achieve greater returns for local businesses."
