Sources from the Department of Citizen Security report that a Local Police patrol, on Sunday at 5 a.m., on Avenida Juan XXIII, arrested a man with the initials LFGR for alleged drunk driving. The officers found that he was driving dangerously, zigzagging and risking a serious accident.
The police performed alcohol tests on him, which yielded a figure of 0.97 mg/l and a second test of 1.03 mg/l, so he was arrested and the judicial proceedings were referred to the duty court.
Meanwhile, sources from the Police Force proceeded to hunt down a vehicle that was breaking street furniture and fleeing.
At 8:42 a.m., also last Sunday, a neighbor alerted the local police, reporting that he had heard a loud bang and, looking out his window, had seen how a dark-colored car had hit a tree, breaking it and a traffic sign, indicating the direction in which it fled.
The officers, conducting the necessary investigations, located the vehicle parked on a street in the town. They were unable to find its driver at first, so it was towed off the road. The driver was later located, and the necessary investigations were carried out to determine if the vehicle had been damaged or damaged by street furniture.
