November 25th will be the main day of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, which, due to the pandemic, was reduced to a formal ceremony last year. The Councilor for Women and Equal Opportunities, Melba Miñano, has called for the participation of the citizens of Cieza, given the in-person nature of this year's program, developed in accordance with the new normal.

The activities began this Wednesday with the opening of the aforementioned comic book exhibition at the Siyasa Museum and the Convent Corner, and will continue on November 25 with the virtual march 'Cieza marches against gender violence' and the in-person march whose route will take place between the Paseo Don Antonio Salas and the Plaza de España at 7:00 p.m., the place chosen half an hour later for the institutional tribute to the women victims of gender violence.

A self-defense workshop to be held on November 26, between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. in the courtyard of the IES Diego Tortosa, and a series of information sessions on gender violence and functional diversity, on December 10 at the Conservatory of Music starting at 9:00 a.m., make up the rest of the activities programmed by the Cieza City Council.
